Kot že verjetno veste, sta Meghan Markle in princ Harry naznanila, da odstopata od opravljanja svojih kraljevih dolžnosti in s tem razglasila popolno finančno neodvisnost. S to izjavo sta šokirala množico ljudi, medije, kot tudi samo kraljico, ki o umiku naj ne bi bila seznanjena. Če je res, da je nista predhodno obvestila, to pomeni hudo kršitev kraljevega protokola, kar samo potrjuje dejstvo, da ne spoštujeta pravil.

Zakaj sta se odločila, da najprej povesta javnosti ni jasno, imajo pa ljudje različna mnenja, zakaj je do tega sploh prišlo. Največ pa jih krivi igralko Meghan Markle, ker naj bi že tako razdrla bratski odnos, sedaj pa še družinski. “Velika možnost je, da ji kraljevo življenje pač ne odgovarja, Harry pa je kot marioneta in bi vse storil zanjo,” je samo eden izmed komentarjev oboževalcev.

Predstavnik kraljeve palače je za medije povedal: “Razumemo njuno željo po drugačnem življenju, a to so kompleksne zadeve, ki potrebujejo čas, da se predelajo.”
